Ann McKay

Ann McKay, age 89 of Springerton, died Saturday November 23, 2013 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born November 24, 1923 at Springerton, the daughter of Harrison Alexander and Christina (Kennett) Duckworth. She was married to Charles O. McKay in 1948 and he preceded her in death on December 15, 1986.

Ann worked as an associate at the Fairfield WalMart for many years. She liked quilting and dancing and had attended Ashland Church.

She is survived by 1 son, Curtis McKay of Mt. Vernon, IL; 5 grandchildren, Crissy Patterson, Michael McKay, Brian McKay, Tony Fitzpatrick and Alexus McKay; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, George (Helen) Duckworth of MO and a daughter-in-law, Nancy Wright of Grayville. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, Charles McKay; 1 brother, Rufus Duckworth and 1 sister, Lela Garrett.

Funeral services will be held at 1p.m. on Tuesday November 26, 2013 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Enfield with Chaplain Mike Fields officiating. Burial will be in Springerton Cemetery.
