Ann Hart

Ann Hart, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at her home in Indianapolis, Indiana.
She was born March 30, 1932, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, to Robert and Irene (Whitney) McLeaster.

Annie attended Lawrenceburg High School in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and received her Bachelor degree at Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana and her Master degree at Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana.

She married Alvin Hart of Maunie, Illinois. To this union one daughter, Alison Ann Hart O’Malley was born.

She retired some years ago, having held several teaching positions in the Indianapolis area.

Annie loved animals and spending time at home working in her yard and visiting with her many long-time friends. She had a close and special relationship with her grandson, Jack.

Survivors include her daughter, Alison (Chris) O’Malley and grandson, Jack O’Malley, Carmel, Indiana; sister Susie (Vern) Henry, Fishers, Indiana; sister-in-law, Betty DeLong and niece, Patricia (James) Pretzsch, all of Carmi; nephews, Gary (Norma) DeLong, Dallas, Texas, Tom Banschbach, Texas and Bill Shapiro, Indianapolis, Indiana; and several cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alvin Hart; brother-in-law, Jim DeLong; special niece, Hannah DeLong; and nephews, Andrew Banschbach and Jim Tennessee” DeLong.

Memorials services were held for Annie on Saturday, May 3, at Leppert Mortuary, Indianapolis Nora Chapel.

Graveside services for Ann Hart will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Little Prairie Cemetery, Maunie, Illinois.
