Amy Allbright Tucker Shaw, 72, of Evansville passed away at her home on January 7th. She was born on November 01, 1946 in Mt. Vernon, daughter of Albert W and Fina Adeleigh (Bell) Allbright.
Amy married Thomas Tucker in 1962. They had three children together and divorced in 1979. Some years later, Amy married Jerry Shaw. Jerry preceded Amy in death in 2005. Also preceding Amy in death is her first born child, Royce Allen Tucker, who died at 54 years of age in April of 2017.
Amy is survived by two daughters: Candace (Richard) Paris of Neskowin, Oregon and Amy (Mark) Ousley of Evansville; five grandchildren: Tommy (Lori) Tucker, Jessy Rose, Colton Ousley, Ashley (Brett) Tison and Austin Ousley; six great-grandchildren: Alexis, Madison and Delilah Tucker, Emma Doss, Vivian Rose, and Peyton Tison; and sisters Barbara (Edwin) Grabert and Janice (Mike) Seitz; and brother Steve (Kathy) Allbright.
Preceding Amy in death and in addition to Jerry and Royce are her parents Albert and Adeleigh; her brothers Gene Burgess, Virgil Burgess, Charles Allbright, John Allbright, Victor Allbright, and Marvin and Keith Allbright who died in infancy; and sister Rebecca Allbright Reynolds. Amy leaves behind many neices and nephews who loved her dearly.
Also, Amy leaves behind her cat Mokie and dog Katie. Amy loved animals, reading, sudoku and crossword puzzles. Amy's quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, spitfire attitude, and compassionate listening ear will be missed by those who loved her.
Funeral services will be at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon on Monday, January 14th at 11:30am with visitation beginning before the service at 10am. Burial will be held at Marshall Ferry Cemetery near Maunie, IL. A gathering will be held immediately following the burial for thoses who would like to attend.
