Alfred A. Hutchcraft, 92, of Carmi and formerly of Omaha, Il passed away at 2:35 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Fountainview Nursing Home in Eldorado. He was born June 7, 1922 in Burnt Prairie, IL the son of James Albert and Elizabeth (Flanagan) Hutchcraft. Alfred married Allena Pearl Stokes on June 30, 1946 and she preceded him in death on October 28, 2008. He was a union carpenter for 17 years with the Chicago District Council and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.
Alfred is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Jacqueline L. and Jerry Hill of Round Lake, IL and Diana G. Dyer of Goshen, IN; a son and daughter-in-law, Paul N. and Karen Hutchcraft of Lampe, MO; a brother James Edward Hutchcraft; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sister, Lucille Deason and Berneice Wilson; son-in-law Ron Dyer; a sister-in-law Kathy Hutchcraft.
Funeral Services for Alfred A. Hutchcraft, 92, of Carmi formerly of Omaha will be at 1:00 p.m.Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery near Norris City with military rites by the Carmi American Legion and VFW. Friends may call at Campbell Funeral Home on Tuesday, from noon till service time.
