Alexis Stewart

Alexis M. Stewart, age 16 of Evansville, died Friday June 26, 2009 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville. She was born March 3, 1993 in Evansville, the daughter of George “P.J.” Stewart and Regina Ricketts.


Alexis was a student at Harrison High School in Evansville and attended Bethel Temple Church in Evansville. She loved listening to music


She is survived by her mother, Regina Ricketts of Evansville; her father, P.J. Stewart of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Cory Stewart, Dejong Harvey and Seth Michael Stewart; three sisters, Samantha Stewart, Mary Lou Hawkins and Samara McQuay; maternal grandparents, Charlotte and Malcolm Ricketts of Mt. Vernon; paternal grandparents, George Hawkins and Pat Stewart both of Mt. Vernon. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.


Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday July 1, 2009 at the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th Street, Mt. Vernon, IN with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family in care of the Austin~Stendeback Family Funeral Home.
