Biography
Aaron Ray Jordan, 45 of Carmi died Sunday morning June 29, 2014 at his home. He was born March 31, 1969 in Carmi, the son of Donnie R. and Virginia (Cox) Jordan.
Aaron had worked for 16 years as a lockmaster at the John T. Meyer Lock and Dam at Mt. Vernon, IN. He was all things outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, Nascar, playing pool and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his son, River Levi Jordan and Brooke Ann Jordan and their mother Shelly Marvel Jordan all of Herald; his parents, Donnie and Virginia Jordan of Carmi; his brother, James Douglas Jordan of Carmi, his grandmother, Lula Mae Cox of Carmi; He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. On Wednesday July 2, 2014 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Carmi with burial in Marshall Ferry Cemetery. Visitaton will be from 5-8 p.m. On Tuesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
