Sheila Reinitz

Sheila A. Reinitz 77 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Friday January 11, 2019 at Deaconess Midtown in Evansville. She was born February 27, 1941 in Evansville, the daughter of Jessie "Pick"  and Gilda M. (Pfeiffer) Toothman. She married Donald Reinitz on March 14, 1964.

In High School and for several years after, Sheila worked as a Bookkeeper at Frank Moll Motors and there she met her husband, Don. She also worked several years at Dausmann Motors and later for Memory Portraits in Evansville. She was a Tri-Cappa member her entire life. She enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, cooking and loved cardinal birds. She was an accomplished organ player. She called all of her grandchildren "Peaches". She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Vernon.

She is survived by her husband, Don; her sons, Brian (Kim) Reinitz and Mark (Pamela Smith) Reinitz; grandchildren, Jessica (Ben) Anselman, Michea (Ryan) Wittenbraker, Payton (Abbey)  Powers and Mark Gray; great-grandchildren, Reinitz  and Walker Anselman,  and Kaleb and Rhett Wittenbraker;  and her sister, Sharon (Larry) Burkhart.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday January 15, 2019 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home at 1330 E. 4th St., Mt. Vernon. Visitation is from 3 p.m. until time of services on Tuesday.
